Neuro-affirmative testing options are available for those who would like to have an assessment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Assessments are available in-person or virtually via telehealth. 

There are many reasons an assessment from Nerdy Owl Wellness might be right for you including: seeking accommodations for work or school, to help support medication management, or curiosity/looking for peace of mind.

• ADHD Assessments: $900
  • Initial Diagnostic Interview + Assessment (DIVA-5, BAARS-IV, among others): 2-3 hrs (or ~2-3 sessions)
  • Session to discuss findings: 1hr
• Autism (ASD) Assessments: $1,200
  • Initial Diagnostic Interview + Assessments (MIGDAS-2, ABAS-3, SRS-2, among others): 3-4 hrs (or ~3-4 sessions)
  • Session to discuss findings: 1hr
• ADHD + Autism (ASD) Combo Assessments: $2,000
  • Virtual Initial Diagnostic Interview + Assessments (DIVA-5, BAARS-IV, MIGDAS-2, ABAS-3, SRS-2, among others): 5-6 hrs (or ~5-6 sessions)
  • Session to discuss findings: 1hr
• Additional accommodation letters or paperwork: $100/each

Traditional Assessment Session: One 2–6-hour assessment session (depending on desired assessment) with a 1-hour follow up session to discuss results. This option is best for those who want the most expedited option and/or prefer to get everything done at once. Please note that if required, a second session may be required to complete all necessary evaluations. 

Flexible Assessment Session: Multiple 60–90-minute assessment sessions with a 1-hour follow up session to discuss results. This option is best for those who may prefer additional processing time with their assessment questions and/or may not be able or want to complete a more traditional assessment format which requires a larger block of time. Most assessments will be completed within 2-5 sessions, however, the number of sessions if dependent on time required to complete all necessary evaluations. 

  Assessment Details:

• Assessment reports and letters are provided 4-6 weeks after the initial evaluation. 
• Collateral information from partner, family or friend is always helpful for assessments.
• A diagnostic assessment may also reveal additional diagnoses. 
• 50% assessment fees are due at the time of scheduling and must be paid in full prior to initial session. A payment plan can be arranged upon request. 
• Due to the high demand for these assessments, cancellations and reschedules must be given 72 hours in advance. There is a $250 fee for late cancellations or no shows for the initial diagnostic interview and assessment. Assessments can only be rescheduled once without being subject to $250 rescheduling fee. 
• Nerdy Owl is private pay only. We can provide a "superbill" at the end of each session which you can attempt to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network coverage/reimbursement.

Assessments are not: 

• IQ or Giftedness testing
• Assessment for learning disabilities
• A full-battery neuropsychological evaluation (which is used to gain a comprehensive understanding of brain functioning). Our evaluation cannot provide diagnostic information about IQ, learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, and some other concerns.
  • Please note: If it looks like a full-battery neuropsychological assessment would be best for you, we will provide local referral options. Further evaluation may be required by some educational institutions and workplaces or for disability benefits and/or academic accommodations.

1) To schedule an assessment, please fill out the assessment request form below. 

2) Prior to your initial diagnostic interview and assessment session, an email will be sent with a link to our client portal in which you will complete initial paperwork and a few assessments prior to your session. Incomplete paperwork may result in an evaluation reschedule or late cancellation and subject to late cancellation fees. 

3) The initial diagnostic interview and assessment can be done either in-person or virtually. It can be helpful to have partner, family, or good friend at the assessment as well to provide collateral information. 

4) A follow up session within 2-4 weeks will be scheduled to discuss the results of the interview and assessments, ask questions, and discuss recommendations. 

5) Receive your assessment report and any accommodation letters/paperwork via email 4-6 weeks after your virtual evaluation session.
